Precision Piecing

FPP patterns
Hi Quilty friends!
Welcome to my part of the Quiltyverse where I get to showcase my love of Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) and all things sewing. If you can sew on a straight line you can totally achieve FPP. You can see more of my creative adventures by following me on Instagram.
Meet the designer

I’m Nik, the Quilt Pattern designer behind Vogonversequilts.
I live in rural Ireland with my husband and our assorted fur family of cats and dogs and I have a passion for sharing my love of all things sewing related (especially FPP) to anyone willing to listen. With a background in teaching I’m dedicated to make quilting accessible for all with easy to understand instructions and expertly written patterns. I’d love for you to hang around and join me in my new foray into the world of tech and websites. Please join me by signing up to my newsletter and by way of thank you there is a FREE download of my RADIANT HEART FPP pattern.

Why choose Vogonversequilts?
At the heart of my small quilting business lies a simple principle: learning should be joyful, personal and stress-free. With years of teaching experience, I’ve seen first-hand how transformative a relaxed, supportive learning environment can be.
The courses I have created for clients are designed to feel like a friendly chat between creative minds – no pressure, no jargon, just genuine guidance and encouragement. I believe learning should never feel like a chore. Instead it should be an adventure, where mistakes become part of the journey, laughter is encouraged and every stitch tells a story.
I specialise in foundation paper piecing (FPP), a technique I’ve not only mastered but celebrated through two competition wins with my original FPP designs.
But my offerings go beyond one technique; tech editing for FPP patterns is another cornerstone of my business as I know how important precision and clarity are in pattern writing. For those who have a story to tell but need help putting it into a pattern, I offer ghostwriting design services tailored to your style and budget and if you require a talk or workshop for your Quilt Guild or Group then I can create something lively, informative and interactive. My teaching style is informal yet informative, blending expertise with warmth and humour.
So if you’re ready to learn, create or connect in a way that feels natural and enjoyable, I invite you to message me via my contact form (below) to explore what I can offer.
Let’s stitch something beautiful together – one piece, one lesson, one story at a time.
